so, right smack in the middle of the Arizona Winter one of my Wyandotte hens layed this egg on the floor of the coop! it weighed in at a whopping 112 grams, which is a record for my hens! since it had a slight crack in it, i was going to have it for breakfast, so i cracked it open, and guess what...out came a perfect 40 gram egg! i keep a list of all the oddities (small, large, soft shelled, and # of yolks), but this one took the cake!
