How about this for rabbits

You could go for a mini rex. I haven't raised them, but the rex rabbits have really nice fur and the ones I've been around at shows and such seemed to have a pretty calm temperment as well. The standard size would be better for meat/fur, but the mini's are...well mini so nice for pets and limited space.
 
But chickens don't have fur!

As far as what's best for fur, it depends on what you're after. Rex and Mini Rex have very soft, plush fur that comes in a variety of colors. You could go with a wooled breed (which has the potential added bonus of not having to, you know, kill them to use the wool) and either sell it raw or learn to spin. You could also look into the Chinchilla breeds or Satins and Mini Satins.
