How accurate are sexed chicks?

I am picking up at Catch A Torii Farms, which runs The Poultry Hatchery in NY.

Do you know if they have a guaranteed sex policy? I know large hatcheries usually guarantee a 90% accuracy

It varies a lot with breeders. I got 7 birds from a breeder and all were pullets but I could have got 2 or more cockerels. Hope you get all pullets, but 1 cockerel would be fun. Hatching is so fun!

I would assume they'll have about a 90% accuracy then. You'll have to post your results here once they're old enough.

Oo, 15 chicks is a lot for a newbie. Hatchery sexed chicks are about 90% correct. You don't have to worry about hatching eggs at all, just don't do it. But roosters can be a handful first round.

My aunt has had chickens (currently only 3 old girls left), and she is down the street & will be my helper! So if I get overwhelmed Im calling her over!
