How am I doing with my bumblefoot treatment? Update! *New problem!*

This morning when I brought her in I wiggled the back toe around and sort of stretched it from side to side. It was like a loose tooth and was just hanging on by a bit of skin. After a few minutes, it came off! (and it didn't seem to hurt her at all) I'm not sure if what came off was the whole tip of her toe, or just a hard dead scabby-casing-skin-piece thing. Here's after I took it off:

And here's the "piece"

I wrapped her foot up again and will continue to do so until it heals completely.

Well done. Looks like it has healed nicely (perhaps minus any future nails as Miss L says, but they don't need that back nail.

When I brought her in to rewrapped her, I noticed she had some sort of white thing on her toe. This has developed since I brought her in Saturday morning (I'm rewrapping her every-other morning). It's not hard, not pussy, it just feels like skin/flesh and it's WHITE. As you can see the toe is slightly swollen in that area. What do you think it is? I put antibiotics on it along with her "stump". (And her stump look kinda nasty in the pics, but it's not.) Thanks!

Hmm, your ducky is a bit accident prone!!

Does it seem painful to the duck?

My thoughts are an insect or spider bite. Or maybe her foot got trodden on. Is her behaviour normal otherwise? Does the skin seem to be broken? If she is acting normally (ie alert and active) and there is no actual cut then I'd just keep an eye on it.
