How annoying are peafowl sounds?

I've heard many people say peafowl sounds are super annoying and not to get them if you have close neighbors, is this true and when do they usually start calling ? Also what size pan do they need and how high should it be?

They are pretty loud. If your neighbors would be bothered by roosters crowing, don't get peafowl.

Adult Peafowl can cost anywhere between $175- $3000.

Yes. If you want breeding age animals you will pay more for them than it you want chicks.

If you don't get them don't go cheap. Cheap birds tend to have issues with virility and health because it shows the breeder doesn't care about breeding good birds.
