I have a bit of a staggered hatch going, which is ok because I have 2 incubators going. I had one lone silkie egg that was laid about 5 days later then the rest so she had a different lockdown start date, happens to be tomorrow am, BUT i had a break in pipping and zipping so I decided to take advantage and just pop her over tonight....open the LG, grab the egg, and she cheeped at me......I was like Oh awesome, wait a minute, is that a pip....oh not so awesome. So there is my little silkie love bug pipped, exposed to dry air! How bad is this? Can she potentially still zip and hatch now that she is in lockdown? I run a dry hatch in my LG, and my hovabator is where they hatch, and its currently at 70% humidity. Im crossing my fingers she will make it!
