Same question! Just got my first chooks, 4 ISA browns. Feeding them on high protein "moulée" (not sure of the English word). Giving them scraps too. We're 6 days in from buying them from a farm that had gone over its supply management license. They've been laying every day and yesterday's were typical at 66g. Today I got 3 little eggs 56-58g, and one monster at 102!Our girl, Violet, is newly laying. This was her 7th egg (laid for 6 days in a row, skipped a day, and BAM).
Her previous egg was 52g, and this egg is 77g! Will her eggs get bigger?! We haven't used this one yet to see if it is possibly a double. (My sister thinks it is).

I was curious about how long fertilized multiple-yolk eggs would make it. Thanks for posting.View attachment 4218686This jumbo egg was not from my hens, but a lady sold me eggs to hatch. I knew double eggs don't normally hatch, this was a triple yoke, it went into the incubator anyhow. Any doubles I tried to hatch usually make it to day 10. This one egg, 2 of the yokes were fertile, one yoke was not. One yoke quit at day 10, and the other yoke made it to day 17. I was amazed.
