How big is the biggest egg you've gotten!?

My best and biggest layer is a large fowl mutt (supposedly from brahma, bresse, BJG and bielefelder crosses) who lays jumbo 75-78 gram eggs. If she ever lays a double yolk it will be huge. With my new pullets now laying, a couple of them are in the running for biggest layers. So far 3 are often popping out a double yolker. I white leghorn laid an 80 gram egg, a sapphire sky laid 75g and an unknown girl laid a long 77g egg today. As compared to my newest layer a BBS Wyandotte who laid a 38g.

My diamond duchess laid a triple yolk but I never did get a photo of it. I’ll be sure to post any new jumbos as I’m sure there will be more!

New record today, 86 grams and extra long. Still not sure who is laying these extra big eggs. Average egg in comparison.

We got three double yolkers today!!!!! One of them was like medium sized.

My biggest (since I started weighing them last week) was about 73 grams. I suspect it's from my BYM. She lays about every other day, and they've been big. Fairly new layer.

How are you all keeping track? I just use a pad of paper with date, egg color, suspected hen, weight and how it would size (jumbo, XL, etc). I only have 8 layers.

I have the Flockstar app to keep track of my birds. Helps tremendously with keeping track of age and egg production per hen. You can keep tabs on egg production and weight plus breeding, age, individual flocks, parentage etc. I think there’s an incubation category as well but I haven’t had the chance to use it yet. Well worth the monthly payment, I should just do the yearly payment at this point.
