Hi,
I would guess around 130-150.
Keep us posted as it grows and we can see who's closest.
lol!
Take care!
Angela

a 200 bull mastiff is definately not to standard, but then you know how it is, people who are not responsible breeders usually try to breed for the biggest, wether its good for the animal or not..

We had a german shepard, mastiff, great dane mix that at 2 years old was 225 pounds. we also had a rott, coon dog, black lab that at 1 year old was 230 pounds. We currently have an 8 year old St. Bernard, Newfoundland cross that tips the scale at 245 pounds, a 1 year old Great Pyr, border collie that weighs 168 pounds, a 3 year old blue tick heeler, aus. shepard, rat terrior that weighs 48 pounds and a 4 month old Great Pyr. that is tipping the scale at 68 pounds(and of course is still growing). All of our dogs a HUGE....NOT because we are NOT RESPONSIBLE, but because they are large breeds in general (all except the 48 pounder). We feed our dogs VERY well...Not over feeding, not under feeding, we do not fill our dogs with people food or table scraps. They are feed very well and are very well taken care of. I am not trying to sound rude by stating that either I was just taken aback by your statement on large dogs basically come from irresponsible breeders.
I grew up with a 230 Rott that was the biggest baby in the world....There again, he was not raised by irresponsible owners.

can you hear me now? :

i picked up a pup today that is bull mastiff and great pyranese.(hope I spelled that right) Anyway she is shaped more like the mastiff, and has the hair of a pyranese. I will post pictures tomorrow she is outside tonight. My 2 boys named her cinnamon. let's pray she isn't too big.

I would guess she is going to be one lovely large dog. The 2 crosses are both larger dogs. that being said all of our dogs(post above) all think they are lap dogs.....Thunderstorms are a hoot around here sometimes because when one hears the thunder they all do and pretty soon you have 4 dogs trying to sit on your lap. Our 1 year oldGreat Pyr. cross and our 4 mth old Great Pyr. are guard dogs, but they do get to come in the house. They do there jobs well when outside, but they are also allowed in the house...

The question most important is not size-it will be a big dog is being able to control the dog. Please enroll this dog in obedience as soon as possible. Mastiffs especially bullmastiffs are a protection breed. You need to establish dominace as soon as possible. When properly trained the bullmastiff can be a wonderful breed. Good luck.

my friends mastiff that was 210 that i spoke about earlier was a show dog. so it must have fit some standards.

Definitely be careful about feeding--large breed puppy food, and dole out only exactly as much as the vet tells you to. They will beg for more constantly, but just give them only a smallish amount and be firm about no scraps. And limit exercise when they are young to avoid joint damage. And yet another recommendation to get the puppy into obedience classes ASAP, plus learning a few tricks from a trainer on how to handle very large dogs isn't a bad idea. Because believe me, when a large one year old puppy decides they are too wound up to stop playing, or decides they need to guard you from the evil mailman, you need to be able to control the dog.

On the plus side, if you needed any hauling done, you can train them to know carting commands and do draft work. My Pyr is learning how to haul a cart, and this winter he's going to be my sled-dog. It's a lot of fun and the exercise keeps them tired out so they're easier to discipline.

what was i thinking, was your friend's dog a bull mastiff? Or an English Mastiff? The English Mastiffs are the big ones, Bull Mastiffs are really not that big, probably 100-120lbs on average.
