There are are some folks that still think that this is some kind of inhumane horror show. They generally have no clue as to how different and how small-scale this is compared to the conventional egg industry.​

Mac I am even MORE impressed. I did not realize your flock free ranged. Gawd what I wouldn't give for land like that. Our grass growing season is 30 days and the rabbits take care of that.... LOL. Not much you can do with 7 inches of rain per year.... total... including snow....

Of course there is no reason to compare I just forget how beautiful Green is untill I see it.

I agree with the other posts. You will need a big coop for 300 birds. I have four coops. Two of the coops are duplexes. I try to keep my flock around 100 birds. That is enough for me and my egg customers and a feed bill I can handle.
