How Bloodthirsty Can Skunks Get?

We have semi tamed girl skunk who can't spray but gets under the fence goes to the rose garden. My dog and she are buds However the dog has not quite figured out that not All skunks wanta play.

It was NOT a skunk after all. It was a huge female red fox that had been sprayed by a skunk awhile back. She had a musty body odor but there was skunk smell on top of that. This is the first time in 22+ years that there has not been a resident skunk out back or groundhogs. Anyway, I trapped and humanely killed the predator.

Congratulations on getting the fox. Red fox actually have a strong "skunky" odor of their own.

Man do they stink when they spray............eye watering - almost as bad as the CS training we did without the burn.
