How can I get a splash cochin again

So basically last April we got some chicks from our local hatchery Murray McMurray and we got a splash cochin her name was bunny and I adored. I've been a mess since she died from coccidiosis. And when chick season comes again I want to get more splash cochins probably 4 or 5 but how do I get splash cochins if they don't sell them.
Would I get some if I ordered blue. Please help. She was like a baby to me I held her as a baby and took care of her like my own child and I miss her so much. And I really want chickens like her again.

Most hatcheries do sell splash cochins. If McMurray doesn't, can you try a different one?

Do you have any adult cochins to breed? Yes, breeding two blues can get you some black, blue, and splash chicks.

You mean if you breed two blue cochins? Yes, 25% splash, 25% black, 50% blue, but that's no guarantee on those percentages.

No but I got a splash from them last time would I want to order blues . Bc blue doesn't breed true . But IDK if they sort the results or not I'm assuming not since I got splash last year. We only have 2 buff cochins who are 25 weeks old. Our roo is a wyandotte.

I didn't realize you really meant order. Did your first splash look blue to start with?

With buffs, you won't get any splash with a blue except via a fluke.

Basically my brother works at the hatchery so they let him take 26 chicks for free and that's what we got and no the splash never looked blue she was light gray from the start

Lucky You to have an "in" at the source! Have your brother ask the people at work. Even if you have to purchase and pay to ship them, he'll likely get a better result than just crossing your fingers and ordering!
