I have four ameracana hens and a rooster. I let them out during the day and they sleep in the hen house. They all lay their eggs in the nest box but they never sit on them for them to hatch. Is there anything I can do to make them. I'm 6months new to this and I'm looking forward to some biddy's this spring. Any help would be appreciated.

You can't make them. There are some that have tricks they try but, nothing is a quarentee. With breeding for production, broodiness (wanting to sit on the eggs) has gone out the window. [IMG]

You can't really make them set but you can try a little trick my uncles does and 4 out of 5 times it works

the hen or hens you want to set let them lay there egg in the box everyday ... don't take the eggs out.. and after the hen has lay about 6 or 8 eggs she will set

againg this doesn't work all the time but it has
