How can I get them to eat eggs?

I have a house full of boys, teenagers or tweenagers. They don't turn their nose up at food long term. They may try the "I am not trying this new thing/any veggie/etc" but that's all well and good. But if you don't eat your breakfast/lunch/dinner, then you don't get a snack because if you aren't hungry at meals, you must be eating too many snacks, so none for you. A week of PB&J only for 3 meals a day, they are willing to eat ANYTHING I put in front of them. Even if it's those nasty whatever it was at the start of the week.

Teenaged boys, entirely too predictable in regards to how much they will eat given the chance.

Ok here is my idea.....I love cheese cake and it has a lot of eggs.....so make a cheese cake with your fresh eggs ( that is the best cheese cake) Serve it after dinner and when they all say how good it is let them know that it taste that good because you used fresh eggs in it........If that doesn't work try the old fashion. " I am the mom and I said eat your !@#$ing breakfast now" LOL .....kids these days . My mom would have beat my little butt if I ever just left my breakfast on the counter and refused to eat it....just would have not happend. Anyway not trying to tell you how to parent your children at all just think that maybe the old fashion "Because I said so" would work. Good luck....and if they don't eat the cheese cake PM me and I will give you and address to send it to.

I think you need to have all their little friends over for a sleep-over night. make cupcakes, or cake, or whatever you think the little monsters will like as a treat.
of course, with your home grown eggs.
and when their little friends say how GOOD the cake is, you can say "and this cake is actually GOOD for you too!" then explain why. "because it's made with homegrown eggs!" and

now your kids will have 2 choices - look like weirdos in front of their friends for not liking CAKE, or saying "yeah, we have really GOOD cake around here. with our OWN eggs in it."

teens can change their position on a dime, given the right peer pressure.

of course, this won't work if their friends are freaked out about it too. but hey, might be worth a try....

ETA: you konw if you think they'll freak because the eggs come from chickens, when they ask where the eggs come from you can always shrug and say "eggplant."

I think you will have less a problem if your hubby comes round. Your young man there is probably just following dads lead.

I personally would never buy another store bought egg. Sell what you do not use. Don't even fight with them about it. While you enjoy your nice egg whatever, they can enjoy a nice bowl of cornflakes... or what ever cereal... Corn flakes is just a good one.. Or Wheaties... Good start the day food... Nothing like sitting there eating a cold bowl of cereal while mom and dad(hmm hmmm) eat a nice big plate of eggs and bacon, or omlet, fried egg sandwich...

Naggin won't work. Just make them more resistant. Just don't buy store eggs. You can't afford to feed the egg plants pockets and your girls too. So, must feed the girls.
