How can I help my Rhode Island Red?

I have a sweet Rhode Island Red hen that was just fine ealier today but I recently found her laying in the coop,she can't stand, one of her eye is really messed up, and she has a scrap on her back. I separated her, and gave her electrolytes, but I'm not sure what else I should do! Does anyone have any advise on what I should do? Please help she is such a sweet hen and I really want to help her! Please help!!!

She really looks rough, I dont know if she'll make it or not. I recommend penicillin G procaine injections. You can purchase it at your feed store as well as a syringe with needle. Here's a link for you, go to post #2 and scroll down to ANTIBIOTICS and continue reading:

I have Penicillin G ,but it says its for beef cattle is that ok?

Wow, how can she crash that bad, so fast. Perhaps worms. I would treat here for worms.
I had a hen that didn't look this bad but she sat on the roost all day and laid her daily eggs though. So I separeated her and noticed worms in her poop. Just treated her and gave her natural Yoghurt and she was better in no time!

Yes, she crashed very fast! Ok I guess I will treat her for worms as well. I guess it wouldn't hurt to try some yogurt as well. Thanks for you input.

Any time. I'm not sure if you can mix certain medications? Like if your giving her Penicillin G.
