How can I keep rooster off chickens?

How can I keep get rooster to be gentler, or keep him off all together?
Unfortunately roos think with whats between there legs lot of the time - its in his nature to be a bit nasty. Your best bet is to seperate him in a pen of his own where he can see but not touch the girls. If he was hand reared from a chick especially he might get gentler with age (just going through a stroppy teenage phase lol) and handling (but be careful with this). Also make sure your ladies haven't been cut, if they have they might need a saddle while they recover. Good luck!

If you only have 2 hens, he is constantly going to be pestering them. You should get a couple more hens to ease the burden of his attention, or else find a new home for the young stud.

The only way he’s going to learn some manners is to let them work it out. It would be helpful to know if they free range, measurements of coop and run, and if you have hiding places in your setup, so they can get out if sight from each other. IME, it’s good to have extra space when you have a rooster/cockerel.
