I wonder less about how the animals multiplied, and more about how you could tell the difference between the St. Bernards and the ponies. Did they use the same saddles?

We did have a miniature poney saddle for a st, for fun.

Ha when I was a kid we raised st Bernards and ponies. I was the kid that "explained" sex. But they were asking about human sex and I was explaining how animals did it.

My cousin's daughter and her husband breed and raise Shire horses. Not too long ago, they posted a picture of their 4-year old daughter with two bicycles - one with the front tire over the training wheels of the other one. Mom asked, "What are you doing?" Kid said, "I'm breeding her. I want to have a baby."
