How can I tell if the quail eggs I purchased are fresh?

You DO NOT need ice. Just water. Fresh eggs sink. Old but still OK eggs sit on the bottom but stand on end. Bad eggs float.

HOWEVER BOTH BOOTS AND AX HANDLES MAY BE USEFUL IN "TUNING" A CHARACTER FLAW WHEN USED WITH ENOUGH VELOCITY AND APPLIED LIBERALLY...

I actually used lukewarm water to avoid damaging any live embryos that might ahave been left.

For anyone who wanted to know if this worked...Yesterday, I had 18 eggs hatch!

I really didn't expect to get any because it was all so ~

and definitely not by the book ~ and I forgot to turn them sometimes so that they only got 1 turn in 24 hours some days. Today two more hatched and some more eggs are wobbling in there so I am really happy. NOW I WON'T HAVE TO BUY ANY MORE EGGS FROM THAT GUY!!

By the way some are pale coloured and other are dark. Does this have anything to do with their sex?

wow eggs are expensive down there. I just bought 5 dozen fertile eggs yesterday for .50 cents a dozen. ( $2.50 )

Thats great! How many eggs did you end up incubating? in 6 weeks you will have plenty of eggs from them.
