Make sure you check regulations for shipping live animals. The USPS has regulations and the origination and destination states may also have regulations that may require NPIP testing/certification and other restrictions.

Yup yup. That is true. You do need USPS approved shipping boxes. I use ones made by Horizens. You can find them online or hopefully from your local feed store. The boxes have special filtered windows so that the birds can have air circulation but not spread disease. They are kinda expensive, running around $10-20 depending on box size.
