How can we make our 1 month old baby pig sleep by his self?

My boyfriend and I just bought a one month old black baby pot belly pig from our local flea market. He shouldn't have sold us the pig because, he is to little and needs to be with his mom. He is not weaned. We keep him in the house in our large dog crate with blankets and his food and water. He likes to eat dog food instead of his piggy food. Haha. Anyway, we let him roam the house during the day because, he doesn't like to be alone. At night, we put him in his crate in the bedroom with us so, he will be close. He will cry in there all night until one of us gets him. We can't keep him in the bed as he will poop or pee in it. We have to sit up all night with him and can't put him down or get will scream and cry. I hate it for the little guy and us. What can we do to get him to sleep by himself so, we can sleep too? I know he is scared and lonley by him self. He needs momma. Thanks for any answers.

Just move him gradually away from you. Like a half foot a day. Our mama pig is just a wall away from her babies. They can't see her, but they did just fine. The mama called for them and was pretty upset the first couple days of separation, but after that, she was fine. I hope I helped!!

Put something warm (like a heated water bottle) wrapped in blankets for him to snuggle with.
