How can you quiet your rooster in the early mornings?

I have 2 young Roos, a sizzle and a silkie! Recently a neighbor asked if there was a way to quiet them down in the mornings. I have read about the sock over the neck, but we live where it gets to be 100 degrees in the summer and would be afraid they would overheat and die.
Maybe just sock them before bed then take it off at like 8 am! They are only worried about it in the early mornings!
Perhaps separating them from the hens at night and putting them in a cage in the garage until morning? Doesn't help that our yard has an echo to it!
Any other suggestions, not interested in surgeries or culling, thank you.

That's a toughie! Night time is really the only time a rooster is quiet. And they're up at the crack of dawn. You can't keep a rooster in the dark all the time.....What a bummer that would be.

I have to say that, depending on where you live, if the rooster is disturbing your neighbors, you should re-home him. And I'm truly sorry to say that. It can be a difficult thing when you're attached.

I've mentioned in other posts that we live right behind the zoo! The monkeys are noisy all night long and the pigs are noisily squeezing in the early mornings. Then you have the exotic birds all day, along with the lonely tiger howling. Honestly my 15 hens are noisier than my Roos! The Roos are still young and have just started crowing a few weeks ago! I think once their hormones level out they will quiet down a bit! They have plenty of girls between the 2 of them.
There is a lady across the street and everyone has barking dogs. We live right on the edge of town with lots of farms in the area.
I just hope I can come up with a solution so every one is happy

Well, good luck to you! As long as chickens aren't illegal where you live, then your neighbor has no leg to stand on. I live in the country, and I just love hearing my rooster crow.......Really, with monkeys and pigs and exotic birds making noises, a rooster wouldn't seem that bad at all. Hopefully your neighbor will just forget about the rooster......

My husband changed the timer for the light so it doesn't turn on at all in the morning! I think it worked cause he didn't start crowing until the sun started coming up.

Well I guess 630 is still too early for my 1 neighbor, even though he leaves for work at 530! I leave at the same time for work, it's nice to hear my Roos in the morning!
Will they slow down as they get older?
I figured it's just because they just hit puberty!
Once their hormones balance out a bit and they get use to the way they feel, maybe they won't be so inclined?

The fact that you have two roosters, might mean that they won't slow down. Roosters crow to show that they are the big guy on the street, healthy, and have a nice piece of territory. I would be scared that they would start having crowing matches.

Tried the sock yesterday, but I don't think I had the right size!
I have 15 hens with the plan to hatch more to eventually replace the older ones who will stop producing eggs!
I thought that 8 hens per roo was sufficient to keep them entertained
