Hello guys

As some of you now I hatched some georgia giants over the weekend , and also I hatched some cotournix quails

I put them in a #0534 gqf brooder diveded with a thick piece of foam .

Now my problem is that some of the bobs got mix with th cotournix

and I will need to split the cotournix with a friend ( he paid for the eggs)

how can I tell the diference between the two breeds

thank you

I don't have a coturnix tho..

Okay, the coturnix will be a tad bigger. Plus the coturnix will have feathers popping out in about 5 days. Here is a Jumbo Brown coturnix, just compare to this:

Thank you guys

comparing both pictures i can see some diferences

I will watch closely when giving his part to my friend

I would say the easiest way to tell is to take notice that newborn coturnix is close to twice the size of a newborn Bob.

Newborn Bobs look more like Florida roaches to me sizewise.

If you never seen Florida cockroach Bobwhites are about size and shape of a Bumblebee.
