Alright, here's a question I've been trying to find an answer to and have so far failed.

I hear a lot of people saying that such and such of their hens are laying X amount of eggs a day and others are not laying the same number. My question is..

How the heck do you tell which chicken is laying eggs without a camera going or they lay different colored eggs.?

Next question...

Do Bantam roosters have a quieter crow than other roosters.?

I want to start raising some Bantams alongside my SLW's (in a seperate area of course) and I'd really like to know if the roosters are as loud as other breeds of roosters. I'm looking at Silkies and Mille Fluer D'uccles.

Any info would be great. Thank you ahead of time.

Bantam roosters do crow quieter. I don't know how people tell which hen is laying which eggs.........probably they just get to know their hens.
