How clean do eggs have to be to waterglass?

I am trying to start water glassing some of my eggs. Online it says to use only clean eggs, but I almost never get perfectly clean ones. Most of my eggs have at least a tiny smudge of dirt or a tiny bit of calcium on them. How clean do they have to be to safely waterglass?

I don't do it but looked it up and the AI google said:

"Washing removes the egg's protective "bloom", which allows lime to seep into the egg instead of preserving it. The bloom also keeps air and bacteria out. However, the egg should be free of dirt, mud, or other debris."

So probably much like incubating eggs...we don't wash them, but we do pick off or gently scrape any chunks.
