There is a huge oak tree that covers a large part of our yard, three pine trees and a ficus inside their run and some deer netting over top, plus we have a very large covered deck so they have plenty of protection. I'm not saying it couldn't be done, but a hawk would have a tough time trying to get down to get one of my girls - just no room for an easy swoop and escape. Grew up on a farm and saw plenty of that. Would love to have more room (acreage), just no longer able to do the upkeep.
