I just found a nest of eggs from my golden sebright bantams. They have been out in the cold at night. How cold can the eggs get and still hatch ??

I had an egg in the fridge for a few hours before I decided to take it out and hatch it. It worked just fine.

DAYS?? Wow cool. I just bought some quail eggs from a market. I hope they will hatch. They were refrigerated also.

I always think about it like this; There wouldn't be any birds (wild)up north if cool was a real problem.Yea they cannot freeze BUT they can take some COOL/COLD....cva34

Yeah same thing here I have had quail and chicken eggs that have been in the refrigerator for days and hatched, you lose some fertility but that is to be expected. I get about a 50-60% hatch on eggs refrigerated 5 days or less and the chances of a good hatch go down any days past 5 that they are incubated
