How dangerous is hot and humid weather to peacock?

Hi,
I am in NJ, and the heat has hit. It is in the 90°. My peacock stays with us at home, since our town prohibits him. so technically he is only as uncomfortable as we humans are. But he sticks his tongue out and opens his mouth and puffs up his mandible rhytmically. He is hot.
Can peacocks die from heat?

Do you have a AC??? Maybe he just needed a drink place him by an open window so he can get some fresh air. Make sure he knows where his water is too.
