How dare yall let me go to a Poultry Auction!

Anyone else go to the Culpeper Auction?

I really shouldn't have gone.. Between me, my fiance, my mom, and younger sister we did way too much damage.. :lol

We came home with 5 pullets/hens (4 of those were $1!), 3 ducks (2 pekins & 1 call), 6 chicks (2 golden laced wyandottes, 1 golden comet, & 3 sex links), 2 rabbits & a hamster.

All in all we only spent $70.. Which I guess wasn't too bad?

I feel your pain - we went to the feed store (see post) and came home with 4 more chickens.

That is not a bad haul.
On Monday I went to a friend's house and came home with 14 chickens and 2 1/2 dozen eggs to hatch!!

I need to build more pens!!

You should have come here instead. You could have gotten silver appleyard ducks, a Thanksgiving turkey, a Christmas goose and some blue orp chicks.

Weather is so bad from Nov 1 to April 1 that there can be no further construction for new coops or runs. Absolutely no new arrivals allowed because we are at capacity. Very sad.
