How did this happen!

I believe my neighbors are getting suspicious of me being a "chicken hoarder" LMAO! I keep working into the conversation about how I'm planning to get rid of some... I just don't mention the ones that will replace them.

sounds like me when we went to pick up our amerucana's from the breeder we were just going to get 4 but ended up getting the following:

4 amerucana's 1 black 2 blue 1 splash
2 lavendar opingtons
2 rumpless araucana's

she told my daughter to pick a couple of "packing peanuts" she liked needless to say my daughter was very happy and she picked very well she picked the rumpless.

When I was a kid in south Texas (during the 50s) we had a place in walking distance called "Naylor's Hatchery." Boy am I glad there isn't one here now. Or am I?

I figured as much about the mute comment. It's about like caponizing. I hate having to give away my boys! One is particularly beautiful--he's a black copper marans and his tail is coming in looking gorgeous.

I keep going into TSC and looking at the babies. One guy in the store keeps asking me if I'm going to buy any and I have to tell him no, I just enjoy looking. They only sell them 6 at a time and I really don't need more but it's so tempting!

Pray for me! I'm going with a friend to the hatchery to help her pick out her chicks tomorrow. I can do it. I can be strong.

Great Posts! I don't even know If I have a hatchery near me................... it is probably a good thing I don't know about it... very tempted to look though. Resisting the urge............ ah crap...google here I come
