How did this happen???

Collected 6 eggs today, problem is I only have 4 hens. Is it possible for a couple of them to lay twice in a day. And I always check for eggs when I lock them up for the night so I know they weren't there a 10pm. I did move them to a nicer coop last week. Maybe that's their way of saying "thankyou"...... that was a joke......

I had a "Pearl Leghorn" at one time that laid 3 eggs every 2 days. I had two of these girls; every morning I'd find 2 eggs from them, and every other evening I'd find another egg from one of them. That overachiever did this through her entire first laying season, so yes, it is possible!
