Actually, it was because an "Automotive Wrecking Yard" was the last of several businesses that I owned and operated in my "working life".

I happen to have grey eyes. In my day job, for 27 years I worked in the 9-1-1 environment and abbreviations are EVERYTHING. The law enforcement abbreviation for "gray" is gry. It is my personal e-mail user name (my ISP is Redshift.com, which darkmatter may find interesting, as I find darkmatter's name). I am gryeyes on many forums and on Public Safety forums I am GryEyes911. (But for goodness' sake, don't leave the dashes out of 9-1-1, despite my lack of using them in that user name! I was restricted by number of characters.)
