How did you come up with your screen name?

Draconargentum is the username I use for most site signups. No one seems to have taken it anywhere else, plus I'm a freak for dragons and Romance languages, so draconargentum, "silver dragon"...Yeah. That's about it.

I chose my screen name because of a conversation with a co-worker about my Fiance.

He is definately a country boy, and he loooves horses, just he isn't from OUR country. He is from the Kurdistan area of Northern Iraq, so we figured that makes him a Third World Country Boy. I'm going there in 2 weeks to get married so I think that will make me a Third World Country Girl. Maybe

I've never been a country girl before, never lived on a farm or had farm animals.

Hey guys!

My name is Jennifer. When I married into my husband's family I inherited a sister-in-law who is Jennifer also - kinda confusing when we all get together so my father-in-law started calling me FER and it stuck. I am also an RN so I put these together and became Ferrn. That's my little story.

We live in a very windy location between small mountain ranges in WV. The wind can be really wicked here. Hence Tundra...and the Chick part well thats me and my 11 feathered girls and 3 human girls.

My kids got 2 chicks from their Sunday school bus driver on easter sunday 1 1/2 years ago. At that time we hadn't even discussed having chickens (the subject just never came up) and I was a little upset that the bus driver gave all the kids on the bus chicks without asking any parents permission or even knowing if the chick would be cared for.

I got over it, and we decieded to keep the chicks.

Of course the both turned out to be roosters!

This spring we decieded to get hens for the boys, got 13 of them, and adopted 2 more roosters, and rehomed 1 of the original 2.
So I have alot more experience with roosters.

I'm a red head, so I've been called red all through school and it stuck.

My biggest rooster's name is red (A rhode island red, what an original name, huh?)

So now you know where Rooster-Red came from!
