For the first three years of my life I lived in Henrietta, NY and I was born on the 23rd of July. Henrietta seems such a fitting chicken name!

SloCrevs is basically a play on my name, Sarah L., my town, San Luis Obispo, and the fact that I breed ornamentals and Crevecoeurs. So it can be seen as 2 ways, Sarah Lukes Ornamentals-Crevs or San Luis Obispo Crevs (short for Crevecoeurs). It's also the name of my website.

i like to make pickles. i have made them out of carrots, apples, onions, jicama and lots of other things. i have made vinegar with everything from blueberries to i don't know what. the whole top level of our fridge used to be covered with homemade pickles until there was too much complaining. hmm. maybe that's what caused the break up.

maybe i should be called split pickles.
