Journey is my horse's nickname. 11 is my date of birth. I always liked the name Journey. If I hadn't gotten my horse first, I probably would have (tried) to name one of my kids that!

I live not far from Lake Marion in South Carolina. Lake Marion got its name from the Revolutionary War hero, Francis Marion, (aka The Swamp Fox) who led several successful battles in this region.

My hubby had chickens as a kid, but it's a first time for me. So when we got our day old chicks, I'd spend a lot of time at the brooder watching and talking to them like you'd talk to a person. Well, he'd come up and the only thing he'd say was "here, chick chick chick". That's how he "trained" his chickens to come to him when he called them.

Therefore, I'm Mrs. ChickChick. Somehow seemed pretentious to add the third "chick".
