title says it all! We are working hard on starting up our new little hobby farm, and thinking about names like crazy! Still haven't found the perfect one though

How did you guys come up with your farm's name?

our ranch is named "windy oak" witch is pretty much self explanatory 10 months out of the year there is a breeze. about the only time the wind dies down is when it gets 95 degrees or hotter.

Kinard Farms. It's had the same name for 100 years

Crazy chicken farm. Becuase all my chickens are insanely funny to watch!! Plus my girlfriend thinks I am crazy when I add more chickens each year. (see chicken math...)

Mine isn't a farm, it's a cottage on an acre overlooking a creek in the mountains where I raise fruits, veggies, roses, and chickens. I named it Sweet Asylum.

My first name is Alys, I'm a school psychologist, and I came up here to live alone after a divorce and my kids were grown. My friends soon came to visit and found it a peaceful escape from their frantic city lives. Plus, I planted lots of the annual, Sweet Alyssum, in my flower gardens. So, the name just seemed to fit. It really *is* my asylum and I wish I never had to leave.

The chicken coop for my 7 girls is "Seven Biddies B&B".

Just to help you with some of ideas, some of the names I've heard and love are:

Laurel and Holly and Almosta Farm (a BYC member)

Keep us posted on what you decide. I love to hear the names people come up with.

Well mine is simple DP's Salmon Faverolles because thats all i plan to raise tryed several breeds of chickens but the faverolles is the breed for me.

My place is called, Chuckling Chickens Farm because I had a visitor one day who heard Oscar the Parrot laughing hysterically over who knows what.

The visitor said, "Listen to that Chuckling Chicken! She must be happy!"

Gotta love a parrot who can throw his voice.

This is Oscar, the nearly extinct Blue- fronted-green winged-chuckling-chicken.
