How did your flock annoy you today?

I am letting my littlest (6ish weeks?) out of the grow out pen to mingle with the rest. The big ones evidently have missed "their" pen and keep kicking down the barriers I put up to keep them out and getting back into the pen.
We built them a 'get into the grass' area today, all covered and secure we thought. Well no: the two little ones managed to get out within one hour all confused and wanting to get back to mummy!
They are only 2 weeks and 2 days old and smaller than we thought..

I have a turken rooster who seems to think I'm a hen, and yes, he's very cute doing his little dance and bringing me bugs, but for the love of all- I just want to run in, grab the eggs quickly sometimes, and leave without stepping on him or having to remove beetles from my shoes!!
I have a rooster who wants to show me where I should lay my egg every time when I clean out his coop (it's not in the nest box, BTW, just a random corner of the coop). But he goes in and digs out a little pit and cooes real sweet the entire time.

When I'm done cleaning, he goes out the pop door and screams an egg song like he's trying to convince everyone that I did in fact lay an egg in there, lol.

That is entirely too sweet, I just rehomed a bantam Turken cockerel who treated me like the anti Christ.
That's actually why we rehomed his brother haha. He seemed convinced I was actually a coyote or something and would flip if I went into the coop! But now he lives with our neighbors and has like 25 ladies all to himself, and they've never once had a problem with him!

That is adorable. He's a one man hype squad.

My smallest chicken thinks she is the biggest chicken, and she loves to terrorize her flock mates, she also loves to go broody 🙄 so, I put her into a seperate run, today, another hen goes broody, so I try to put her into the same pen as my smallest chicken, she attacked my the poor broody so viciously, the other hen flew into my head and neck in panic, I now have scratches on neck and head from the hen 😩

I'm in the process of trying to figure out how to have a split cell broody breaker. I envy people that can just throw all their broodies together, but mine are not going to jive with that!

Glad she didn't get you in the eye, but holy smokes. What a nightmare.
