This one kinda reminds me of issue I'm dealing with right now but it's a hen DNA tested that is taking on a LOT of rooster traits... and the mystery IS DRIVING ME NUTS. I spend SO much time just staring at "her" waiting for any and all changes.

And...someone else on the other side of the world is staring at their chicken like you... Is it a she or a he? I read that the fun is in the guessing...I have not found it to be so....until that egg poop out or the morning crow..

tbh I'm not exactly sure. DNA tested as a hen, but it's go soooo many signs of being rooster? LOL. So basically I just assume its intersex, and still have a few weeks before if I know if it will pop out eggs or not

How is Dandelion doing with her new family and home?
Your other three chickens doing all right?
Hopefully, there will be peace in the flock now.
And that means everyone will be happy and it is much easier for you.

Exit to add: One of my two year old CL hens continues to lay her egg just outside the laying box.
I guess she’ll never learn.
At least it’s only her and no one else.

We once had a chicken which annoyed my husband so much that he felt like hanging her from a lamppost or himself.
All she did was constantly and incessantly moan and whine, despite her name being 'Bliss'.
I couldn't kill her just because she made annoying sounds, so in the end I had to give her away or I would have lost my hubby.
(by the way, I did tell the new owner that she made a lot of noise and apparently she is very happy now).

I blocked a third nestbox for an unwanted broody (Kraai). She managed to open the gate and was committed to brood a piece of straw this morning.

I’ll check in with her in a few days. I know Dandy’s in the integration crate right now, so she’s probably not having a great time, but she’ll get there. The other 3 are living in absolute peace. Hornet started laying eggs, Poppy’s squatting. They spend the day cuddling and foraging through the pen. It’s heaven. Thanks for thinking about us! I’ll keep the BLB thread updated as we go.

Hello BYCers! I've had my quail covey since July and this is my first time posting here. Today a member of my flock revealed he is definitely male by foaming on me when I was checking on the group. Double annoyance, he's a male AND I got foamed on.
