How did your flock annoy you today?

I put in a swing months ago and they refuse to use it. Today I put one of the girls on it. I hoped she'd like it and model it for the others. But no, and she didn't just sedately hop down. She flapped off squawking, inciting a panic with the other 11 running around screaming.

But hey, at least they are willing to help with projects.

I also made a swing for my birds
Do they use it? No
Do their chicks use it? Yes, sort of

So blue egg layers can start out brown then change?
Oh, sorry for the confusion! I got some blue ameraucanas (one ended up a roo, so he's has a prospective new home who would love a snuggly lap roo) and I'm waiting for the girl to lay. The blue comes in with the calcium. So, you get olive eggs from blue calcium + brown overcoat, brown is made from white calcium + brown overcoat, and blue is made from blue calcium and no overcoat. That's why, if you crack open an olive or blue egg, the inside of the shell is also blue. Some chickens do not produce the calcium color or the overcoat color, and the strength also is somewhat genetic but can vary with time and nutrients. So, my blue ameraucana, if I was sold the right chicken, should only lay blue eggs. My barred rocks and BYMs shall stay laying some varied browns.

When they don't eat their feed, but they chase me for treats instead.
Mine luckily recognize time and routine of one daily refill, more than they can eat, but even then, that doesn't stop them from eating my hair.... why do they keep eating my hair? I have to pull it out of their mouths to prevent a choking hazard! I swear every bird nest in the area has my plucked hair in it
I dislike putting my hair up, but maybe I have to start doing that.
