How do ducklings get out of nest boxes

I know the jump to the ground but I was wondering how they get up the inside of a two foot tall nest box.

What kind of ducks? They climd the wall using anything rough enough to get a hold on. That is why wood duck boxes should be made of rough cut wood

Mandarins, wood ducks, and ringed teal are hatched with super long toe nails that make them ideal for climbing.

also, the plans we used to make our wood duck boxes (for our Mandarins) had us put 1/4" hardware cloth along the inside front wall and they climb up that quite easily.
