How do ducks grow in their feathers?

I noticed my 1 week old duckings (We think.. We dont know how old they were when we got them from tractor supply but we assume they are 1 week old) I noticed their wings were pink i could see a little of their fur was missing.. does this mean they are growing in their feathers? I heard the first feathers they grew in were Wing and Tail

Actually wing feathers are last.. ..usually belly, scapulars and tail start first at about 2 weeks.
