How do i calibrate thermometer without having an already calibrated one in the first place?

Only if the therm is capable of that range of temps.
An oral medical therm does not have that range,
a food therm usually does.
Okay so I got the food thermometer and tried to calibrate it but it's kinda confusing, when I tried in in a glass of ice water without touching the probe against the ice it was 1.5degress Celsius and when I touched the ice it was -0.2 degree Celsius. And for boiling water mine should have been around 100degress Celsius after calculating the elevation. But it came up to 97.5 degree Celsius. What do I do with this readings😅 not quite sure.

Get a better therm?
Show me the package or link to the food therm you bought.
What is the temp range and tolerance of accuracy?

@aart hey sorry to bother you again but do I measure the temperature at the bottom of my styrofoam incubator or do I put the oral thermometer at the top of the egg level and measure it from there because when I measure the base of the styrofoam it measures higher than when I measure the egg level. Where do I place the thermometer to get the right reading? Thanks!

Is your foamy fan or still?

Here's some good reading about incubation:

It's still ,its weird because during the day the difference between my oral thermometer and my cheap digital thermometer is 1c but in the night the difference of them are 0.4degrees Celsius.
