How do i catch a chicken?

Definetly wait untill they are roosting. Ours are completely tame, but don't want to be picked up during the day. They want to run around and eat. Sometimes at dusk they hop up into the tree. All I do is slip my hand under there feet and carry them to their coupe. Everyone advised me to grab a chicken and hold down the wings, but it terrified them, so I started picking them up this way and they didn't mind at all. They will sit down and fall asleep in my arms

I am sure these chickens are not as tame, but I would give it a shot. They will be much more trusting of you if your gentle with them.
