How do I change my avatar to a GIF?

Hi, I want to change my avatar to a GIF, but when i try to put it it says it's too big for the avatar, This is the GIF:

I did and this happened

it took me several tweaks to get mine to up load.... Started out as a video Gif I used a Gif editor and stripped out resized and stripped out some more

In order to reduce it to the pixel limitations it took me a while to strip out frame by frame...

Love this because it has two of my most favorite things.... Black heavy horse and Desert....

keep reducing and eventually the image will fit.

There is also a tool once you upload it that you can move the Gif around so it is optimum.

I had fun doing it... but i wont spend time to do another.
