How do I clean/freshen an enclosed attached pen with dirt floor?? need advise please.....

Do they tear the landscaping fabric? I may have to check into putting some down.

No they don't tear it but like I said I put it down before the sand so it's buried deep enough.

I forgot to mention that the entire run is has welded wire on it so I'm sure it holds the fabric down tightly.

wow I love how nice your sand looks...maybe its just how it is here in upstate NY..is that play sand? where did you get it? Lowes and homedepots coarse sand is dark brown and dusty....real dusty not light colored like that? do you think putting shavings ontop of my dirt pen will be a disaster? what would I do just keep adding more and taking some out? or should I just do peatmoss nad put some hydrtated lime in and turn over with existing dirt? I need to figure something out for this spring...its getting smelly...

It's septic sand, I work for a stone and gravel company so I took a truck home and dumped it in, less shoveling, I would think you can use lime but I heard it can hurt their feet if to much is used, you could also sprinkle so sweet pdz down it might help the smell.
