I have a Ameraucana hen that has had some trouble laying eggs. She layed two
today one had a paper shell so it was broken, but there was a perfect egg right
next to it. But with all the eggs that have been breaking, some has broken
inside her vent and I had to help her pass the shell. Anyways, how do I clean up
the old yoke and some poo that is getting stuck to all that yoke? I know it's
going to become a fatal problem if not taken care of. Do I use warm water and
anti-bacterial soap?
Thank You in advance! :)

I would use warm water (let her behind soak a bit) and then just as you said an antibacterial soap. Something gentle you would use on yourself. If she has an irritated behind you could use Preparation H to sooth the tissue. Good luck.

Are you giving her a calcium suppliment? I'm wondering why she is laying thin shelled eggs. Does she have access to crushed oyster shell?

Hi,
I have two other hens that have been laying eggs everyday without a problem. Neither of them has had paper thin shells, or any problem at all. Just her. They all get the same food, they forge all day and are put up at night. They get fruits, and veggies. Have access to fresh water. Yes, they do get shells. Here are some pictures of the last emergency she had. I had to pop the outer egg so the shell was flexible enough for her to pass both eggs. This was the biggest egg I have ever seen! There's no way she could of passed it by herself.
