How do I clip wings....

My country gals are about 3mos.How old before I clip wings and how do we do it?.Need them to stay in run for their safty .

Depending on what breed of chicken, unless your run is covered or has 6ft-8ft high fencing clipping their wings will do nothing, but if you only clip one it'll throw their balance off for trying to fly. If they're production type birds for meat or eggs, they're usually too fat to get higher than 5 ft anyway. This thread may help you
