For the record, on day 1 of my incubation, my temps spiked to 107.
I still have good developement in all my eggs.
I dont even worry about checking any EXACT humidity, just make sure there is water in there at all times.
You can put more water in at lockdown to give it a few more points.
I know broody birds are good at incubation, but I also know for a fact that birds dont use thermos/hygros, and as such, I dont think these numbers need to be as exact as we sometimes think.
Like was said before, there are many ways to accomplish the same goal.
As long as you are within the accepted range, you should be fine.
And from my own experience, quail eggs are hardals to candle.
Try to use the eggs that have less spotting on them to candle with.
