How do I find out if chickens are legal or not? In a city 'FAQ' it says this:

•Q: My neighbor has a dog that barks all the time and a rooster that crows. Can he keep chickens in his yard? What can be done?
A: Noise violations are enforced by the Police Department. Contact the Police Department at the non-emergency number @ 940-349-8181. You will reach a recording offering several options. Please select “Duty Officer” for assistance. Complaints and inquiries regarding animals should be directed to Animal Control at 940-349-7594.

Have you checked the 'sticky' at the top of this forum? Info wasn't available for my area, so I called the code enforcement (aka zoning) office. They were very helpful! Around here, chickens are OK, but not if they pose a health threat, or are a nusiance (noise, smell).
