I have a gray Ameraucana, (13 months old on second lay) who lays a very soft egg, which has calcium deposit or no shell at all after a month of laying.
I have given it extra calcium but this seems to make it worse.
Have any Ideas?

Ive heard it takes a few months for them to get thier laying down right...Some people say thier first months worth of eggs can be "squishy" or deformed. Its just because she is still oyung, i wouldnt do anything if i were you, thats just normal as far as ive heard

if she has only been laying for a month, it may just be new layer problems. keep the extra calcium out. I supplement with cottage cheese and yogurt so they get extra protein and calcium. there are a lot of other reasons for soft shells (do a search and there is a good link to an article about it) that we can't really do much about.
