how do i get eggs under my broody?

    she has a bad case of broody pms! she is sitting on an unfertile egg but i have some orps i was going to stick in the bator tomorrow. she is also on the ground should i put her in a nest or just add bedding under her?

    I would keep her on the ground (if you put her up to high when/if the chicks hatch they can fall out and get hurt) As far as the non-fertile eggs go - just stick your hand under her grab them and stick any new eggs you want her to hatch under her !!

    If you wait until it's dark, it's easier to slip your hand under her to remove the unfertile eggs and replace them with the fertile ones. She'll put up less of a fuss then.
